BESPOKE SERVICES

The Balocco Proving Ground provides additional facilities and services for all experiments: Humidity Chambers; Climatic Chambers for low temperatures and the essentials, Fuel Pumps, Car Washes and ultra-modern charge points for electric vehicles.

HUMIDITY CHAMBERS

The Balocco Proving Ground offers customers two certified humidity chambers, available 24/7.
Testing cycles can be scheduled on a daily or weekly basis:

ELECTRIC CHARGING POINTS

In the Balocco Proving Ground 66 electric charging points for BEV and PHEV are available in 4 different areas.
They all provide a Mennekens Type 2 AC connector; 9 of these 66 points are fast charge in DC at 50 kW with CCS2 or CHAdeMO plug.
In the close nearby of the proving ground public Hyperchargers are available.

RTK correction for
differential gps systems

The Balocco Proving Ground is equipped with a Novatel GPS base station (which receives signals from the GPS, Glonass and Galileo satellites) with a radio-modem that transmits a 441 MHz UHF radio signal (RTCM v3 protocol) for the differential correction of GPS position.
The signal can be received by the radio-modems of the dataloggers mounted on the cars under test if they are equipped with differential GPS devices that can be used for the real-time correction of the car's position, with accuracy up to 2 cm (signal availability and quality depend on the tracks selected).
